Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our clients import company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, handling import-related accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with financial and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting books
- Handle import-related transactions, including customs costs, duties, and supplier payments
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
- Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax laws
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in an import or trading company
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with import documentation and cost accounting is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Good organizational and analytical skills
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
