Job Summary
On behalf of our client, a leading innovation and entrepreneurship support organization, we are looking for a Communications Intern to support day-to-day communication activities. This role is ideal for a creative and motivated individual who enjoys content creation, social media, events, and storytelling.
Purpose of the Role
The Communications Intern will help promote programs, events, and partnerships through both digital and offline communication channels. The role supports branding, visibility, media engagement, and internal communication while working closely with different teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support digital and offline communication activities across programs and projects.
- Manage and update social media platforms, website content, and email communications.
- Create engaging content such as posts, captions, newsletters, stories, and short articles.
- Assist in documenting events through photos, videos, and written summaries.
- Support the preparation of brochures, flyers, banners, and other visibility materials.
- Assist with media-related activities, including press releases and public announcements.
- Ensure all communication materials follow branding, donor, and partner guidelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partners to support program visibility.
- Document key meetings, milestones, and program highlights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates or 0 years and above experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication skills in English and Amharic - Highly preferable.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Good writing and storytelling skills.
- Organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiar with social media platforms and basic digital tools.
- High communication in the English language and others.
