Contractual Agreement
Job Title: Driver
Grade: G2
Contract: FT
Duty Station: Jijiga
Duration: One year
Key Accountabilities
Responsibilities include:
- Providing transportation for authorized personnel
- Meeting official personnel and assisting with visa and customs
- Maintaining vehicle log books and reporting mechanical status
- Ensuring the assigned vehicle is clean and well-maintained
- Following established rules for field deliveries and reporting issues
- Performing basic office tasks when required
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Completion of secondary school education and formal driver’s training with a valid license.
Experience: Two or more years as a Driver, preferably in an international organization.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential knowledge includes:
- Driving rules and regulations
- Chauffeur protocol and local conditions
- Safety standards and equipment
- Basic first aid methods
- Client-oriented approach and high sense of responsibility
Language Requirements
Fluency (level C) in the UN language in use at the duty station and in the local language, if different.
