Electrical Engineer - Maintenance

About the Job

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within the facility. The role involves both preventive maintenance and reactive troubleshooting, as well as coordination with internal teams and external contractors to maintain optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform inspections of electrical panels, distribution boards, wiring, lighting, and control systems.
• Coordinate with facility managers to schedule planned maintenance and support operational needs.
• Provide on-call support for urgent electrical issues and emergencies.
• Recommend improvements, upgrades, or replacement of aging or inefficient systems.
• Supervise and guide technicians or external contractors when needed.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
• Report recurring issues and propose long-term solutions to management.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals accurately.
• Use electrical testing and diagnostic tools proficiently to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot generators, UPS systems, pumps, HVAC controls, and automation systems (preferred).

About You

• BA Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification or license in electrical engineering is an advantage.
• Additional training in electrical safety or industrial electrical systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Knowledge in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is beneficial.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate electrical maintenance and improvement projects.
