Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Encryption Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated professional with a broad and deep understanding of cryptographic principles and their practical application. You will be responsible for:

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining the cryptographic integrity and data security of our solutions using standard libraries.
• Working closely with our CTO and development teams to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity of data across all our projects.
• Serving as the go-to expert for all matters related to encryption, digital signatures, and secure data handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust cryptographic solutions for data at rest and in transit.
• Advise the CTO and development teams on the selection and implementation of appropriate cryptographic algorithms and protocols.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all cryptographic systems, protocols, and key management procedures.
• Translate high-level security and privacy requirements into concrete technical cryptographic implementations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on secure coding practices related to cryptography.
• Stay current with the latest advancements and threats in cryptography, including post-quantum cryptography, and evaluate new technologies.
• Conduct security reviews and cryptographic code audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Establish and oversee key management policies and infrastructure to ensure the security of cryptographic keys throughout their lifecycle.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven professional experience as an Encryption Expert, Cryptography Engineer, or in a similar security-focused role.
• Deep understanding of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, hash functions, and message authentication codes (MACs).
• Strong knowledge of digital signature algorithms and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
• Familiarity with advanced cryptographic concepts, including zero-knowledge proofs and their applications.
• Practical experience with common cryptographic libraries and tools (e.g., OpenSSL, Bouncy Castle, libsodium).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex cryptographic concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A strong team player who can collaborate effectively to build secure and reliable systems.
• Experience with secure key storage and management solutions (e.g., HSMs, KMS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptographic protocols used in DLT is a plus.
