Children Believe Fund (CBF) is a child-centered, community-based international development organization devoted to addressing the needs of children, their families, and communities by implementing programs that focus on:

Currently, Children Believe Fund wants to hire one Finance Officer for a nutrition-focused new project titled Championing Health and Gender Equality (CHANGE) to be implemented in North Wollo Zone of Amhara National Regional State, Ethiopia.
Position Details
- Title: Finance Officer
- Duty Station: North Wollo Zone, Woldia
- Terms of Employment: One year with possibility of extension
- Salary: Negotiable

Job Responsibilities
The Finance Officer is responsible for:
- Preparing detailed financial plans of the project
- Implementing plans for control, monitoring, and reporting of financial operations
- Maintaining cash controls and preparing payroll
- Facilitating procurement and general services
- Preparing financial reports
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing detailed project budgets and developing cash flow
- Recording all transactions accurately
- Advising the Project Manager on financial planning
- Providing technical support to Admin & Finance Assistant
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies
- Reviewing petty cash reimbursements
- Managing invoices and payments
- Posting accounting data to ledgers
- Supervising fund deposits and disbursements
- Calculating and preparing payroll
- Ensuring timely tax payments
- Assisting in procurement of project items
- Facilitating transportation of purchased items
- Coordinating support service activities
- Preparing financial reports for submission
- Implementing inventory control procedures
- Representing the project to stakeholders
- Monitoring expenditures against budgets
- Ensuring proper documentation of financial records
- Performing other related duties as required
About You
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- BA degree in Accounting and Finance Management or related field
- Six (6) or more years of experience in a related field
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and accounting software
- Previous NGO experience is mandatory
