Gender & Inclusion Expert

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Gender and Inclusion Expert to support our project aimed at improving the labor market ecosystem for youth, particularly women. This role is crucial in facilitating a women-centric design and implementation approach, ensuring that our gender and inclusion targets are effectively met while providing vital insights for future initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Implementation: Collaborate with project teams to design and execute programs that prioritize gender and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for young women and men.
• Monitoring & Evaluation: Track progress toward gender and inclusion objectives, analyzing data to draw actionable insights and inform strategic decisions.
• Safeguarding Measures: Establish and enforce safeguarding protocols to protect all participants and stakeholders involved in the program.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with local organizations, training centers, and employment agencies to enhance the employability of youth and foster a supportive network.
• Capacity Building: Provide training and resources to enhance the skills of women and youth participants, empowering them to navigate the labor market effectively.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in gender and inclusion programming within a development or humanitarian context.
• Strong understanding of labor market dynamics and barriers faced by women, particularly in Ethiopia.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and foster collaboration.
• Experience with safeguarding practices and a commitment to promoting ethical standards in program implementation.
• Proficiency in utilizing digital tools and technologies to enhance program delivery and monitoring.
