Job Summary
The Government Relations Advisor will coordinate regional engagement and partnerships for the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program across Africa. The role focuses on strengthening relationships with government stakeholders, supporting program implementation, facilitating regional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with national and global public health priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate regional exchanges and develop strategies for government engagement
- Build and sustain partnerships with ministries, regulatory bodies, and institutions
- Support program launches and expansion into new countries
- Assist country teams in translating strategy into implementation plans
- Identify and participate in regional events to promote public health initiatives
- Promote multisectoral collaboration in environmental health policy development
- Manage relationships with regional organizations and partners
- Support country teams in managing government and institutional partnerships
- Represent the organization in regional meetings, forums, and public engagements
- Support development and review of reports, policy briefs, and training materials
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and coordination across countries
- Ensure alignment between local and global program strategies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Global Health, Environmental Health, or related field
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in government engagement and public health programs
- Experience in health policy, environmental health, or global health initiatives
- Experience managing multi-country programs in Africa
- Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies
- Experience in program monitoring and reporting
- Experience representing organizations in high-level stakeholder forums
