Job Summary
The Hydraulic/Water Engineer will lead the design, supervision, and implementation of WASH infrastructure activities under the project.
Duty Station: Oromia Region
Employment Type: Full-Time (Project-Based)
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies.
- Design water supply systems and supervise construction works.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and local authorities.
- Prepare BOQs, technical reports, and progress updates.
- Support hygiene promotion integration within WASH activities.
Qualifications
- BSc in Hydraulic Engineering, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in water supply projects.
- Experience in humanitarian WASH projects is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in remote and hardship environments.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and safeguarding policies.
- Local language proficiency.
