ICT Support In IT Network Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

• Support installation, configuration, and testing of LAN and WLAN equipment
• Assist in upgrading network infrastructure to improve performance and reliability
• Conduct site surveys and analyze signal strength for WLAN performance
• Document configurations, device placements, and testing results
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving network connectivity and configuration issues
• Support firewall configuration reviews and security monitoring
• Monitor network performance and contribute to performance reporting
• Assist with firmware and software updates on network devices
• Maintain network topology diagrams and device inventory records
• Support evaluation of security risks and compliance policies
• Assist in ICT documentation, SOPs, and user guides preparation
• Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities
• Support asset management and administrative ICT tasks

Qualifications

• Relevant academic background in ICT, Computer Science, or related field
• No prior professional experience required
• Interest in networking, systems administration, and IT support

Languages

• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required
• Knowledge of another UN official language (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage
