Responsibilities
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Junior Accountant located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for:
- Managing financial records
- Preparing reports
- Assisting with budgeting
- Maintaining accurate financial data
- Processing invoices
- Reconciling accounts
- Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as needed
This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software.
Qualifications
- Financial record-keeping and reporting skills (Peachtree)
- Experience with budgeting and reconciling accounts
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work on-site in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Relevant educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Diploma or Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Prior experience in a similar role is a plus (E-tax, VAT, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
