Position Overview

LESSO Ethiopia Trading PLC is seeking a motivated Junior Procurement Officer to join our team in Addis Ababa. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the procurement department with:

• Sourcing and purchasing goods and services
• Managing supplier relations
• Preparing procurement documentation
• Ensuring adherence to company policies
• Maintaining accurate procurement records

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Junior Procurement Officer will:

• Assist in drafting and processing purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders
• Contribute to the identification and assessment of suppliers
• Keep comprehensive records of procurement activities
• Monitor and follow up on purchase orders
• Aid in the preparation of bidding documents
• Ensure all procurement processes align with organizational policies
• Provide general administrative assistance to the procurement team

Candidate Profile

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Procurement & Supply Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline

Experience

• 0 years of relevant experience required; recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply

Skills and Competencies

• Foundational understanding of procurement processes
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus
• Capable of working effectively under pressure
