Role Summary

The Pharmaceutical Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and hospitals. The role requires:

• Building strong customer relationships
• Identifying sales opportunities
• Ensuring the achievement of sales targets

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and detail Halicare’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare providers and key accounts by providing excellent after-sales service.
• Execute daily sales visits and maintain a structured call cycle in assigned territories.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends, and provide feedback to management.
• Organize product presentations, demonstrations, and promotional events such as conferences and group events for medical professionals.
• Research market assessment and analysis including competitors’ products, pricing, and market success.
• Schedule meetings with potential and existing customers, including doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Regularly attend industry events, training, company meetings, briefings, and educational workshops.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all promotional activities.
• Collect orders, promptly submit purchase orders to the relevant department, follow up on deliveries, and ensure timely payments from customers.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to implement strategies that drive business growth.
• Submit timely plans and reports on sales activities, customer feedback, and territory performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute sales and marketing activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Sales Achievement: Attainment of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Customer Coverage: Number of healthcare professionals and accounts visited per week/month.
• Territory Growth: Increase in market share and revenue within assigned territory.
• Customer Relationship Management: Strength and consistency of client relationships and satisfaction.
• Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness: Submission of sales reports, call logs, and competitor insights on schedule.
• Compliance: Adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical promotion practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• More than 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare industry (preferred) with a proven sales record.
• Sound knowledge of medical terminology and legislation.
• Excellent organizational and consultative sales skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver's license is an added advantage.

Reporting Line

Directly reports to Sales Supervisor. Works closely with Marketing, Distribution, and Customer Service teams.
