Job Summary:
The Resource Person is responsible for delivering high-quality training, workshops, webinars, and consultancy services under the Institute’s Capacity Building Programmes. The role involves facilitating professional development sessions, developing training materials, providing technical expertise, and supporting organizations through consultancy assignments such as policy development, procurement manuals, and capacity-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate workshops, webinars, seminars, and in-house training programmes in areas of professional expertise.
- Develop and deliver engaging training materials, presentations, and learning resources.
- Prepare course outlines, training manuals, and facilitator guides for capacity-building programmes.
- Provide consultancy services, including the development of procurement manuals, organizational policies, and operational procedures.
- Deliver practical, industry-focused training that enhances participants' professional knowledge and skills.
- Evaluate participant learning outcomes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices within the area of specialization.
- Collaborate with programme coordinators to design and improve training curricula and consultancy assignments.
- Maintain high professional standards while representing the Institute during training and consultancy engagements.
- Prepare training reports, participant evaluations, and other required programme documentation.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, preferably in a business-related discipline.
- Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Professional qualification in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or another relevant area of specialization.
Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of practical professional experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or another relevant professional field.
- Previous experience in training, facilitation, consultancy, or capacity-building programmes is highly desirable.
Professional Requirements:
- Possession of a valid KISM Practitioners License for applicants in the Supply Chain Management discipline.
- Registered member in good standing with KISM or another recognized professional body relevant to the applicant’s area of specialization.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent training, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, supply chain management, or the relevant technical discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong curriculum development and instructional design skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to develop professional reports, manuals, policies, and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality consultancy and training services.
