Position Summary:
The Executive I - Retail Sales is responsible for supporting retail sales operations by assisting with customer engagement, product promotion, order management, and retail channel activities. The role focuses on building relationships with retail customers, supporting sales growth, maintaining product visibility, and gathering market information. The position provides an opportunity for individuals to develop their sales skills while working closely with senior sales staff, distributors, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily retail sales activities under the guidance of senior sales team members.
- Identify potential retail customers and conduct regular visits to promote company products.
- Assist in maintaining product visibility, displays, and branding standards at retail outlets.
- Collect customer orders from retail shops and coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor product availability and stock levels at retail locations and report shortages or supply issues.
- Collect market information including competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer feedback.
- Support sales promotions, product launches, and marketing activation campaigns.
- Respond to customer inquiries and escalate complex issues to the Sales Manager or senior sales personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activities, orders, and market information.
- Prepare regular sales reports using company reporting tools and templates.
- Participate in sales training programs and continuous professional development activities.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales Management, or a related field.
- 0–1 year of relevant work experience. Internship experience, university fieldwork, or practical exposure in sales and marketing is an added advantage.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Basic understanding of sales processes, customer service, and retail operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within assigned areas.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Fluency in Amharic and working knowledge of English.
- Strong interest in developing a career in sales and marketing.
- Ability to build positive relationships with customers and business partners.
