About the Job
We are looking for a Sales Agronomist for a pesticide import and distribution company. The role serves as a technical sales specialist, bridging scientific expertise and commercial sales.
The position is responsible for driving revenue by providing agronomic advice, conducting product demonstrations, managing dealer networks, and promoting crop protection products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The role involves both sales and technical field support activities.
- Actively market and sell herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides to retailers and farmers while achieving sales targets
- Visit farm fields to scout for pests, diseases, and weeds and provide expert recommendations
- Organize and manage field trials and demonstration plots to showcase product performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and distributors to drive repeat business
- Train dealer staff and farmers on product usage, safety, and technical benefits
- Provide market feedback on trends, competitors, product performance, and customer concerns
- Coordinate with supply chain to manage inventory, deliveries, and invoicing
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Plant Science, Horticulture, or related fields
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales Agronomist or Technical Expert or 5+ years as a Crop Protection Manager
- Strong technical knowledge of pesticides, crop management, and regional farming practices
- Excellent communication skills for presenting and negotiating
