Job Summary
The Security Shift Leader is responsible for supervising security operations during assigned shifts to ensure the safety and security of employees, visitors, company assets, and facilities. The role involves leading security personnel, responding to incidents, enforcing security procedures, conducting patrols, maintaining accurate records, and promoting a safe and secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel during assigned shifts.
- Conduct shift briefings and communicate operational updates, assignments, and security concerns.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, guidance, and on-the-job training.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activities.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare accurate incident and investigation reports.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary.
- Conduct routine patrols of company premises to identify and prevent security risks.
- Monitor surveillance systems, review CCTV footage, and report unusual activities.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Assist employees, visitors, and clients with security-related inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain daily security logs, personnel attendance records, and shift reports.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new security personnel.
- Promote security awareness and safe working practices throughout the organization.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to improve security performance.
- Perform other security-related duties assigned by management.
Educational Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Additional education or professional certification in Security Management, Safety, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security services or law enforcement.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
