Job Responsibilities

1. Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from mechanics or machine operators to diagnose equipment problems.
2. Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
3. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
4. Troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and decide on corrective actions.
5. Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on mechanical principles.
6. Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
7. Monitor and review the technical performance of all machines within the industry to detect or assess problems.
8. Calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on mechanical principles.
9. Utilize computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
10. Modify spare parts using personal skills until the original is purchased.
11. Prepare periodical reports and submit them to the production and technical manager.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree and/or professional qualification: BSC in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or General Mechanic diploma with 7 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of all industrial machinery maintenance, installation, and operational processes.

Work Experience

• Minimum 4 years as a technical head in a food manufacturing plant.
• Language proficiency: He/she should speak and listen to Oromipha and Amharic.
