Job Responsibilities
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from mechanics or machine operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and decide on corrective actions.
- Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on mechanical principles.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Monitor and review the technical performance of all machines within the industry to detect or assess problems.
- Calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on mechanical principles.
- Utilize computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
- Modify spare parts using personal skills until the original is purchased.
- Prepare periodical reports and submit them to the production and technical manager.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree and/or professional qualification: BSC in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or General Mechanic diploma with 7 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of all industrial machinery maintenance, installation, and operational processes.
Work Experience
- Minimum 4 years as a technical head in a food manufacturing plant.
- Language proficiency: He/she should speak and listen to Oromipha and Amharic.
