Job Description
International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL opened its doors in 2004 with the aim of contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia by providing high-standard laboratory services through skilled human resources and advanced medical technologies.
ICL is the only laboratory in Ethiopia accredited by the USA-based Joint Commission International (JCI) five consecutive times. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with international referral laboratories.
ICL would like to fill vacant positions under the Customer Service Section of its Addis Ababa branch by inviting qualified and competent applicants.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and label laboratory samples following standard operating procedures from walk-in patients and credit customers.
- Perform patient data registration and data creation as required.
- Submit, send, and deliver collected samples properly with sample tracking forms and pre-alert sheets.
- Ensure proper utilization and handling of phlebotomy materials and laboratory supplies.
- Enter patient information accurately and collect payments when necessary.
- Provide professional customer service and support to patients and clients.
- Report technical complaints, incidents, or inquiries to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and professionalism within the work area.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Customer Service Manager.
Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Renewed professional license is mandatory.

- Competent phlebotomy and laboratory sample collection skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills with positive customer handling ability.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Motivated for continuous learning and self-development.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.
- Good customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Amharic, English, and other local languages is advantageous.
