Job Summary

To oversee the efficient management of inventory, stock control, and warehouse operations at Minaye Furniture Manufacturing. The role ensures accurate stock records, timely material availability for production, and optimal warehouse organization to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock records (raw materials, finished goods, spare parts) using inventory software.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations, and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and proper storage conditions to prevent damage.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials/furniture.
  • Ensure proper labeling, bin organization, and space utilization.
  • Monitor warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Work with production teams to ensure material availability for manufacturing.
  • Liaise with procurement to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Track slow-moving/obsolete stock and recommend disposal strategies.
  • Prepare daily/weekly stock reports (inventory levels, wastage, turnover rates).
  • Document damages, losses, and corrective actions taken.
  • Analyze trends and suggest improvements for cost reduction.
  • Train and supervise storekeepers and warehouse staff.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Review stock levels and issue materials based on production requests.
  • Inspect warehouse conditions and resolve storage issues.
  • Update inventory records in the system (e.g., ERP, Excel).
  • Conduct spot checks and cycle counts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in store/warehouse management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in inventory software (e.g., ERP), Excel, and data analysis.
  • Soft Skills: Leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving.
