Job Summary:
The Tax Accountant is responsible for managing tax compliance, reporting, reconciliation, and ensuring adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations. The role involves preparing accurate tax filings, supporting audits, and ensuring proper financial documentation, particularly within manufacturing or import/export operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in tax compliance, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Experience in manufacturing or import/export sectors is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting tax audits and regulatory reporting is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate tax returns and statutory reports.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
- Perform monthly and annual tax reconciliations.
- Maintain proper tax documentation and financial records.
- Support internal and external tax audits.
- Analyze tax-related transactions and identify discrepancies.
- Coordinate with finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance updates.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
