African Female Voices(AFV) is evolving! We’re formalizing our executive and volunteer structure to enhance advocacy campaigns and amplify African women’s voices across the continent and diaspora. Our mission focuses on female empowerment and promoting women's health through impactful lifestyle content. We are looking for passionate leaders to join our Voluntary Executive Team.
African Female Voices is inviting passionate volunteers to join us as Cultural Expats—a unique opportunity to work closely with our executive team, gain practical experience, and contribute directly to our storytelling and content creation.
As a Cultural Expat, you’ll:
- Write, shoot, and produce content and videos that highlight African women and communities
- Cover events and campaigns, bringing them to life through storytelling
- Conduct investigative stories and research projects
- Share the culture and perspectives of your country, helping AFV showcase the diversity of African experiences
This is a hands-on opportunity for anyone who wants to gain professional experience, develop storytelling skills, and contribute to meaningful work across the continent.

African Female Voices is looking for passionate, skilled volunteers to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape African women’s narratives, lead impactful projects, and gain leadership experience, contributing 10–15 hours per week.
We are recruiting for the following roles:
- Content Lead: Oversees storytelling, multimedia campaigns, editorial calendar, and our podcast “Coffee Conversations – The Power of Storytelling”. Reports bi-weekly on content production, audience engagement, and campaign outputs.
- Advocacy & Programs Director: Coordinates campaigns, workshops, mentorship programs, and impact reporting. Provides weekly updates on project milestones and participant engagement.
- Partnerships & Funding Director: Develops donor and sponsor strategy, manages fundraising and tax-exempt compliance. Reports bi-weekly on funding, sponsor engagement, and partnership outcomes.
- Volunteer & Membership Lead: Coordinates volunteers and country representatives, manages onboarding, and oversees workflow. Provides weekly updates on volunteer outputs, member engagement, and country insights.
- Social Media Manager: Manages social media strategy, posting schedules, and analytics. Reports weekly on engagement metrics, content reach, and campaign amplification.
