Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant, located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, generating financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. The role also involves working with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Financial Reporting, Accounting, and Financial Analysis skills
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger management
• Proficiency in Accounting Software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
• Prior experience in the media or communications industry is beneficial
