Accountant - AR

An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company - Ethiopia for the role of Accountant - AR. East Africa Bottling Share Company (EABSC) works with the world’s most cherished trademark; invests in the most sophisticated production system in the world and employs people who are prepared to work with passion and focus.

The position is structured to report to the Credit Controller.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manual WHT Posting for both Cash & Credit customers which is not yet supported by the system.
• Follow up on staff advance payments, check if each employee has an advance not settled within a month, and transfer it to payroll. Control advances are not given over the other advance.
• Confirm staff advances are clean on the termination of employment, and sign off the clearance.
• Prepare and send DSI Report to the group.
• Quarterly reconciliation of Stock consumption with KO.
• Clearing (CFB Credit note, WHT, free stock, payments, Sampling).
• Calculate Bad debt Provision Quarterly, and process the journal.
• Generate aging report weekly and monthly, communicate with the customers.
• Receive Weekly promotion approval and clear these free stocks.
• Manage communication with Group Intercompany transactions.
• Process PR, follow up PO's and capture Intercompany Invoices.
• Prepare monthly confirmations and sign off with no reconciling items.
• Capture IC balances on HFM and clear any differences, as this will impact Group on Consolidations.
• Communicate IC entities and prepare R02, R05, R08 & Budget.

Skills, Experience & Education:

• First Degree in Accounting/Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
