Position Summary:

Shega is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Graphics Designer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping Shega's visual identity across all platforms, contributing significantly to our mission of elevating decision-making in Africa. You will be responsible for creating compelling and insightful visual content for our media, data, and intelligence services, as well as for our agency clients. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary with a strong portfolio, excellent communication skills, and a passion for design that drives impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and execution of all visual assets (Both static and Videos) for Shega's various offerings, including:

• Media Content: Infographics, data visualizations, social media graphics, website banners, and promotional materials that clearly communicate complex insights.

• Data & Intelligence Reports: Designing visually engaging and easy-to-understand reports, presentations, and dashboards.

• Agency Services: Creating compelling visual campaigns for clients, ensuring brand consistency and effective messaging.

• Develop and maintain Shega's brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.

• Collaborate closely with content creators, researchers, marketing specialists, and agency account managers to translate complex information and client briefs into visually appealing and impactful designs.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers (if applicable), fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design environment.

• Stay abreast of industry trends, design tools, and best practices to continually elevate Shega's visual output.

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.

• Contribute to the strategic development of visual communication strategies for Shega and its clients.

Qualification Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, including infographics, data visualization, digital marketing assets, and brand identity projects.

• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects/Premiere Pro for animation/video editing a plus).

• Demonstrable experience in creating visually compelling data visualizations and infographics that simplify complex information.

• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and provide constructive feedback.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

• A passion for Africa's innovation and business landscape is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with B2B clients or in the intelligence/research sector.

• Familiarity with UI/UX principles for digital products.

• Experience with motion graphics or video editing.
