Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer sector inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
- Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
- Provide IT technical assistance and support to the sector.
- Set up a command for inquiry use.
- Perform monitoring of proper installation of cables, operating systems, or operating software in the sector.
- Develop different systems for departments like MIS, FIRS, and HC.
- Create training materials and procedures.
- Train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
- Maintain and administer computer networks in regulated computer environments.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network infrastructure problems.
- Monitor network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
- Install and configure appropriate server operating systems on the servers.
- Administer and optimize GIGs servers to achieve high performance.
- Ensure the availability of client-server applications.
- Monitor the physical security, integrity, and safety of the server.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Recommend changes to improve system and network configuration.
- Determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures.
- Maintain control records.
- Implement website security measures.
- Keep the website up to date by uploading current information.
- Review or update webpage content in a timely manner using appropriate tools.
- Prepare and submit periodic performance reports.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 2 - 4 years of hands-on experience as an IT Technician
