Job Summary
The Junior Accountant verifies, posts, and reconciles accounts payable and receivable; produces error-free accounting reports and presents their results; analyzes financial information; spots and corrects errors; prepares financial statements; assists with tax audits and tax returns; and discharges other duties and responsibilities as may be required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: B.A degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Experience: 1-4 years of relevant professional experience in accounting and finance, preferably in Import, Export, and manufacturing companies.
- Proven track record of executing accounting tasks effectively and successfully.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures;
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements;
- Experience with general ledger functions;
- Experience in accounting software packages;
- Excellent report-writing and presentation abilities;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams;
- Strong ethics and reliability.
