Immediate Vacancy Announcement
JeCCDO is an indigenous NGO that has been working on children and community development issues in Ethiopia for four decades. In partnership with and funded by KNH/BMZ, JeCCDO is implementing a project on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) in Bilate Zuria and Boricha Woredas of Sidama Region. The project has been approved by donors for implementation and will continue until April 2029.
Reporting to: Hawassa Area Community Development Program Manager
Major Duties:
- Coordinate the overall planning and implementation of the project.
- Coach and manage the Project Team under supervision.
- Coordinate trainings, workshops, and seminars as per the plan.
- Establish and manage effective partnerships among project stakeholders.
- Manage the flow and utilization of the project budget.
- Prepare regular progress reports for funding partners and stakeholders.
- Conduct close monitoring and follow-up on project implementation and outcomes.
- Document and share the processes and lessons learned from the project.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Qualification:
M.A. Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in similar projects.
- Experience working with NGOs is an advantage.
Required Skills:
- Team management and coordination skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to mobilize and coordinate diverse stakeholders.
- Adequate knowledge of Adolescent Reproductive Health and Child Protection issues.
- Good command of English and Amharic, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Sidamigna is an advantage.
- Having a motorbike riding license is also an advantage.
Duty Station: Hawassa City with frequent travels to the project Woredas (Bilate Zuria and Boricha).
