About the Role:
GeezJobs, on behalf of our client in the medical equipment and pharmaceutical import sector, is looking for a highly organized and proactive Tender Officer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with preparing, managing, and submitting tender documents, especially for government and institutional clients in the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor tenders and bid announcements from government and private organizations
- Prepare and compile tender documentation in line with client requirements
- Coordinate and gather all necessary technical, legal, and financial documents
- Ensure timely submission of tenders with complete and accurate documentation
- Track and follow up on submitted tenders and respond to clarifications
- Maintain updated records of tenders, contracts, and bid results
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and maintain valid supplier registrations
- Analyze bid specifications and recommend bidding strategy
- Collaborate with internal departments (sales, finance, logistics) to ensure compliance and readiness
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a tendering/procurement role, preferably in the medical or import/export sectors
- Solid understanding of tender processes, procurement regulations, and documentation standards in Ethiopia
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
