Business Relationship Manager (IT)

Job Summary

Drive business continuity and growth by managing the IT solutions demand and owning the end-to-end relationships to the business functions through designing and building IT solutions considering the full life cycle of the solution and ensuring the alignment of the IT strategy with functional strategy resulting in the formulation of a strategic multiyear roadmap to facilitate the achievement of overall business objectives

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Be the IT partner of BGI Ethiopia functions and work with business representatives (BPO/functional managers) to develop and maintain an IT solution portfolio that will guarantee the execution and development of business processes ensuring a high customer satisfaction.
• Understand business needs and requirements, manage priorities, define, and maintain BGI solutions portfolio with strategic multiyear roadmaps for each solution that is aligned to the company and Group IT strategic roadmaps.
• Translate requests and roadmaps into IT solutions proposals (processes, solutions, services, and tools) collaborating with Group IT team and/or third-party suppliers, following Group IT guidelines and analyzing the integration with existing systems
• Contribute to the selection of third-party suppliers and collaborate with the purchasing team to prepare the tenders and define the contracts.
• Manage the project portfolio and coordinate the implementation of all programs for BGI Ethiopia performing risk analysis, defining needed resources (internal and external) and ensuring that the IT solution are aligned with standards (security, Group IT and strategies).
• Participate in projects related to the definition, design, construction, testing and implementation of specific solutions relevant for the Business Functions.
• Coordinate all the activities of the team and invest in the development of the assigned resources.
• Assure consistency of local application landscape and maintain knowledge of application environment/landscape to drive standardization
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager

Education

• The position requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related fields

Experience

• 8 relevant experiences with 3 years in a Managerial/supervisory role
