Electromechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electromechanic with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, and be capable of:

• Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery.
• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing issues involving motors, sensors, conveyors, control panels, PLCs, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Conducting routine inspections to ensure machinery is running efficiently and safely.
• Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to identify faults or necessary repairs.
• Installing new machinery and assisting with equipment upgrades or modifications.
• Collaborating with engineers and production staff to optimize equipment performance.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
• Adhering to all workplace safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or certificate in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC motors, VFDs, control circuits).
• Familiarity with mechanical systems including gears, bearings, and drive systems.
• Basic understanding of PLCs and automation systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in environments involving heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Welding and fabrication experience is an advantage.
