Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electromechanic with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, and be capable of:
- Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repairing issues involving motors, sensors, conveyors, control panels, PLCs, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Conducting routine inspections to ensure machinery is running efficiently and safely.
- Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to identify faults or necessary repairs.
- Installing new machinery and assisting with equipment upgrades or modifications.
- Collaborating with engineers and production staff to optimize equipment performance.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
- Adhering to all workplace safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certificate in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC motors, VFDs, control circuits).
- Familiarity with mechanical systems including gears, bearings, and drive systems.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and automation systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit and able to work in environments involving heights, confined spaces, and varying temperatures.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Welding and fabrication experience is an advantage.
