Job Summary
Assure microbiological laboratory analysis and result from raw materials to final product is compliant with company’s standard and national regulations by performing generic, both planned and unplanned microbiological analysis, inspections and maintains quality related records according to control plans, through making-up of cleaning chemicals/reagents, handling of laboratory equipment and maintaining good housekeeping and record keeping of analytical results and chemical consumptions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow Quality Assurance standards and specifications, and Conduct Physico - chemical analysis of raw material, intermediate products, and final products and byproducts from brew house, fermentation, and maturation beer, filtered beer, final products, waste treatment samples. By preparing appropriate media and record results properly on established applications.
- Perform all quality activities are conducted in alignment with safety, quality, and sustainability initiatives, using PPE and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- Conduct Microbiological test samples from beer processing, general utilities like CO2, and on water treatment samples.
- Perform on Yeast propagation and follow the yeast culture purity in each pitching
- Adhere to hygienic rules and monitor hygienic practice in the overall beer processing activities.
- Make appropriate registration of stock usage of both chemical and materials movement
- Perform analysis of product recall and market complaint samples
- Communicate deviations on test results timely and impose process stoppage when necessary for further investigations and decisions
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by immediate supervisor
- Commit for their own professional development in the respective discipline’s state of the art technological knowledge
- Take the shift and daily control plans in to account and, prepare and make available necessary reagents and materials, and media Engage on shifts assigned duties Cooperate with colleagues of the overall activity of the quality control activities Apply safety measures are as required Communicate deviations in real time with relevant staffs and make sure zero-defect approach is maintained.

Education
- The position requires a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry/Applied Biology/Chemical Engineering/Industrial Chemistry or Food Science or Microbiology or relevant fields
Experience
- 2 years’ minimum experience in food and drinks industry.
