Kegna Beverages Share Company is the company which is under formation and working hard to engross in the Beverage Industry of Ethiopia that is incredibly untapped yet and fast growing.
The Company, officially endorsed on 04 March 2017 by the recommendation and promoter Committee selection of the Public Private Partnership Council of the Oromia Regional State. The promoter committee has been in contact since then frequently on the formal establishment of Kegna Beverages and on fulfilling local legal requirements of company formation, finalizing multiple discipline viability tests and studies and ground preparation for the official launching and foreign direct investment search, and approaches.
Kegna Beverages Share Company officially launched on 01 April 2017 at the Oromo Cultural Center at the Presence of higher Oromia Regional State Officials, Bank Representatives, Local Investors, invited Foreign Investors, Invited guests and Medias. The multiple studies which are mostly finalized as of now (Feasibility Study, Civil and Construction works assessment, Geotechnical, hydrology and topography analysis) on the primarily selected site of the production are finalized and ready to show the picture of the investment as of now.

Role Description
The packaging operator is responsible to operate the packaging machines in a safe way and according to schedule. Carrying out cleaning, quality control procedures and change over the packaging machine. He/she is also responsible for all aspects of beer packaging, as well as some warehousing, and shipping/receiving duties.

The Office of the packaging Department Manager
Responsibilities
- Operating the packaging machines and anticipate and standard and non-standard situations in a safe way
- Take quality control measurements, record these and act upon deviations by adjusting the process
- Report on safety, quality and production progress in reporting systems and DCS
- Changeover of machines by following change over procedures
- Carry our cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening conform the standards
- Solve minor technical problems and assist during breakdowns
- Organize the workplace according to the 5S standard
- Learn, understand and execute packaging operations according to standard operating procedures
- Assist in the implementation and documentation of SOPs as they relate to packaging operations
- Keep and maintain packaging records
- CIP canning line and kegging equipment
- Operate and maintain all packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems with packaging equipment
- Train new canning line and kegging personnel in proper machine operation and safety procedures
- Recognize low fills and improperly filled/packaged product
- Organize inventory of finished beer, bulk cans, cardboard, can ends, labels, and all other packaging supplies
- Keep and maintain raw material records for bulk cans, cardboard, can ends, labels, and all other packaging supplies
- Create and maintain a plan for equipment P.M.s to provide customers with a superior product while maintaining efficiency at or above goals
- Ensure department maintains Great Rhythm Brewing Company’s commitment to a consistent and quality product
- Other duties as needed or assigned
Education
- A minimum of a Level 3 Diploma from a Vocational or technical school is required.
- A qualification in packaging or relevant Engineering field is considered an advantage.
Experience
- 2 years of relevant Experience
Skills
- Experience in either a production brewery or brewpub with demonstrated understanding of the process of packaging beer and equipment involved
- Basic understanding of QA and QC tests and best practices for processing and packaging beer
- Attention to detail and safety
- Able to work in a team environment
- Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Be self-motivated
- Possess mechanical aptitude
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently without loss of attention to quality
- Flexible schedule both hours of availability and days of week
- Must be able to repeatedly stretch, kneel, bend, twist, push, pull, stand, walk for duration of the shift, lift 55+ pounds
- Work in hot, cold, wet, humid, and sometimes moderately loud environments
