Job Overview

The Senior Grants Manager will contribute to overall grants management at IRC Ethiopia, reporting to the Grants Coordinator. This position is based in Addis Ababa with occasional trips to field sites, if needed.

Major Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Proposals: Oversee and lead proposal development and amendments, ensuring proper review and compliance.
  • Reporting: Oversee all reporting for grants, ensuring quality control and timely submissions.
  • Compliance: Review donor agreements and ensure grants are implemented in compliance with IRC and donor regulations.
  • Communications: Act as a focal point for donor communications and oversee donor field visits.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership and training to the Grants team members.
  • Administrative: Ensure all documentation is up to date and complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Educational requirements include:

  • BA degree required; Master’s degree in International Affairs, Social Sciences, Economics, or STEM preferred.
  • Experience: At least 4 years in program or grants management; or 1 year of management experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Amharic required.
