Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Furniture Design & Measurement Officer with 1–2 years of experience in the furniture/woodwork industry and a background in drafting or architecture. You will be responsible for:
- Translating client requirements into functional designs
- Conducting precise on-site measurements
- Coordinating with the factory for cost and material optimization
- Ensuring smooth project execution from concept to delivery
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom furniture designs and interior layouts based on client specifications, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functionality.
- Generate detailed CAD drawings (2D/3D), material specifications, and production instructions for the workshop.
- Conduct on-site measurements and assess spatial requirements for accurate design implementation.
- Collaborate with the factory team to review designs for feasibility, cost efficiency, and material suitability.
- Present design concepts to clients, incorporate feedback, and finalize approvals.
- Support the Design & Innovation team in trend research, prototyping, and process enhancements.
- Maintain organized records of design iterations, client communications, and project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years in furniture design, woodwork manufacturing, or interior drafting (portfolio required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, or similar design software; knowledge of wood, finishes, and upholstery materials.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management abilities; capable of working under tight deadlines.
