East Africa Bottling S.C., a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa and the exclusive bottler of Coca-Cola products in Ethiopia, is pleased to invite passionate and qualified candidates to apply for the position of Tax Accountant.
In this role, you will report to Country Lead-Tax and play a key role in supporting all aspects of tax compliance for the company, ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of tax compliance for the company, ensuring adherence to local tax laws and regulations.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of tax filings and disclosures, including proper adherence to statutory requirements.
- Support Implementing CCBA tax strategies in the country.
- Drive standardization of the company's tax-related processes.
- Conduct regular and monthly tax trend analyses to identify outliers and design and implement action plans for optimization.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including tax authorities, external auditors, tax consultants, and the Group tax function, to resolve tax issues and queries efficiently.
- Serve as the primary the liaison between the company and external parties on tax-related matters, representing the organization's interests professionally.
- Facilitate tax audits conducted by local tax authorities, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Facilitate and support tax audits conducted by the compliance team and internal auditors and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Skills, Experience & Education
- First degree in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of two years of experience in tax accounting.
- FMCG experience is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar fast-paced environment is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage assertively and respectfully across internal teams and external partners.
- Governance and compliance.
- Compliance with company policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution and process improvement.
